Welcome to Calvary

We're glad you are here.

We hope this page provides everything you need to know to have a comfortable first time visit.

Visiting a new church can feel a little intimidating. We want to make your first visit to Calvary as comfortable and welcoming as possible. Here's what you can expect when you arrive.

Let us know you're coming!
Worship Times

9:00 AM Traditional - A formal conventional Lutheran worship with hymns, choral anthems, and other familiar elements of Lutheran litergy.

11:00 AM Contemporary - A band-led worship experience designed to be spirit-driven and engaging for all ages while maintaining Lutheran liturgical elements.

What Should I Expect

Come as you are. - Enter through the Rosedale Avenue parking lot portico doors or New Street doors and proceed to the sanctuary. Stop by the welcome desk to get a first-time name tag!

A typical worship service lasts about an hour. - Traditional tends to be somewhere between 50-70 minutes, where Contemporary rarely breaks the 60 minute mark.

You don't have to participate in anything you're not comfortable with. - You're welcome to simply observe and take things at your own pace.

Other Common Questions

Whenever you arrive, we're glad you made it. For the traditional service, announcements typically start around 8:55 to allow for a reflective organ prelude before worship begins. If you're able to get there by 8:50 and stop by the welcome desk, that would be ideal. The contemporary service starts right on time at 11:00 with our welcome sequence.

Calvary's main parking lot is located on Rosedale Avenue and has a little over 60 parking spots available.  There is an overflow parking lot just down W Rosedale Avenue, across the street (less than 100 yards away).

Come as you are, there's no judgement. But if you really want to know...

Traditional Service - Member attire ranges from suits to sweats, but buisness casual is a safe choice.

Contemporary Service - Most members opt for a more casual look - jeans and a nice top is fine!

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these."  Your kids are welcome to stay with you throughout the entirety of the service, regardless of age. Sunday school is available during the school year at the Traditional worship for ages 3 through 12th grade. An infant and toddler room is available, featuring a live stream of the service so you can stay connected while tending to your child.

Yes.  We have designated parking spaces, an elevator, a ramp, automatic door, and coming soon – assisted listening devices for the sanctuary.
